A1 eLearning Community – HIV Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP)

Target Audience: Physicians, PAs, NPs, nurses, and other health professionals who see patients with or at risk for sexually transmitted infections (STIs)

Course Description: This course is a FREE, interactive webinar to address, establish and grow innovative solutions and services in STI/HIV preventive strategies. This eLearning Community (eLC) series will be held for one hour on the third Thursday of each month. The eLC will use online, interactive modalities to facilitate real-time interaction among key stakeholders and learners to share ideas and explore best practices for scaling up HIV preventive services.

Course Objectives:  By the end of this course, participants will:

  • Define Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) and its practical application in HIV prevention
  • Discuss keys to successful implementation of PEP
  • Examine barriers to prescribing and obtaining PEP and explore real-world solutions
